Justin Schaefers and the Blind Barbers
The Sonoma County California Band – Justin Schaefers and the Blind Barbers – rarely hears their followers say that they sound exactly like someone they’ve heard before. This is probably because their sound is shaped from a unique combination of music spanning nearly a half century. TBB’s front man – Justin Schaefers – has a unique interest in music that was popular way before his time but he still takes notice of what is relevant and current. Bring in an experienced rhythm section – each with their own influences – and you get the sound of Justin Schaefers and the Blind Barbers. That sound is organic, edgy, sometimes twangy, driving but deceptively laid-back music full of catchy melodies, unique arrangements, and lush harmonies.

Paula Frazer and Tarnation
Paula Frazer's unique, ethereal voice and beautiful songs are frequently described as dark country with an eclectic and lush mix of folk, blues, rock, and pop. She performs with her band Tarnation, which consists of singer-songwriter and guitarist Jacob Aranda, a talented artist in his own right, Sam Berman on drums, and David Cuetter (Big Still, That Hideous Strength) on pedal steel. Paula has a large fan base in the Bay area and performs regularly in venues like The Fillmore, The Chapel, Great American Music Hall, The Rite Spot, The Make Out Room, Amnesia, the Verdi Club, Starline Social Club and many other places. Not many American singers with a country twang are actually from the Deep South, but such is the case for Paula. Growing up with a Father who was a minister and a Mother who taught piano in Georgia and Arkansas, she moved to San Francisco in the 1980s and played with many local bands then began a band called Tarnation in the 1991. Paula released 2 albums on 4AD, 1 on Reprise and four albums on Birdman Records and embarked on various touring appearances, in Europe and the US with bands like Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Moore Brothers, The Tindersticks and others. She has also appeared on recordings with artists including Cornershop, Jonathan Richman, Mark Eitzel, Sean Lennon, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Tindersticks, and the Czars. Paula’s songs have appeared on soundtracks like GI Jane, The Break Up, Joyride, Nevada, Gambling and has appeared on other movies and commercials.Already having known a long and illustrious musical career, Paula’s new album What Is And Was on LA label New High Recordings is Paula’s 8th album and the first full-length release in ten years. It’s a wonderful, complex record that will have the listener alternately dream and dance, swoon and laugh – and perhaps also tear up with emotion. Seeing Paula perform is watching a woman who brings all her lived and passionate experience to the stage.

The Sons of the Soul Revivers
The Sons Of The Soul Revivers carry on the tradition of the gospel quartet. The San Francisco-based band fronted by the Morgan brothers performs soul stirring traditional and original gospel music. In these turbulent times, we can all surely use some religious spirit and The Sons Of The Soul Revivers deliver in fine style. The vibrant rhythm section and guitarists Walter Morgan Jr. and Thomas Smith deliver the goods. Give a listen to music you might otherwise not be exposed to and give your soul some spiritual nourishment.

Singer Natalie Carol has a real powerful voice, and the band’s folk pop has gained comparisons to Fleetwood Mac, Florence Welch, and others.
Valley Queen comes from the Neil Young school of great music. They are fronted by Natalie Carol, whose voice is simply amazing.
